Hangame showcased TERA Online to South Korea's videogame fans at G-Star 2009 this past weekend. While most Americans were distracted by food, a few addicts stuck to their PCs in anticipation of some amazing new video or batch of screenshots. They weren't disappointed.

G-Star is South Korea's largest videogame convention that's open to the public to attend, basically the equivalent of PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) in America and gamescom in Europe. All the nation's publishers that can afford to have a booth at G-Star normally attend, including NCsoft, Hangame (NHN's videogame division), and Nexon. NCsoft brought Blade & Soul to the show to compete directly with Hangame's TERA Online. Both are powered by the Unreal Engine 3 and exhibit next-generation fighting systems, making them the obvious contenders for the convention's "Best Online Game" award.

Bluehole Studio (abbreviated BHS) came out swinging with a new TERA Online trailer for G-Star 2009, featuring a female Castanic Warrior seeking revenge for her Sorcerer friend's untimely death. Her journey seemingly ends in defeat, but BHS made it's point: TERA Online is a hot, hot game and it's battles are fought in real-time versus many enemies, not just one or two. In comparison, Blade & Soul's two new trailers show off mostly one on one or two on one PvP battles.
